Nash wasn’t sure what to do with his birthday cake at first, but once he got into it he was all about the ‘smash’. After just a quick taste of sugary icing his eyes lit up and his cake smash session became a hit. I love photographing cake smash sessions, as it is not only one of the first times that a baby experiences the taste of cake and icing, but it provides pure entertainment for the parents as they watch their child experiment and sometimes demolish a once-beautiful work of art, otherwise known as the cake. Never a dull moment in the studio, and this one was definitely a hoot!
