Is The Hands-On Right For You?

Are you looking to strengthen your newborn workflow, improve posing confidence, refine your lighting, or gain hands-on experience in a real studio environment?

The Full Experience mentoring session is designed for photographers who want personalized guidance while actively participating throughout a newborn session from start to finish.

During this mentorship, we will pose, photograph, and problem-solve together in real time. You will have opportunities to ask questions throughout the session while building confidence in your technical and creative skills.

Mentoring is available as private 1:1 instruction or in small group settings.

What You Will Learn

During your mentoring session, we will work through a complete newborn workflow inside a real studio environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience with posing, soothing, lighting, camera angles, parent interaction, workflow efficiency, and post-processing while learning how to create a calm, professional client experience from start to finish.

Mentoring sessions are tailored to your experience level and areas of focus, allowing for personalized guidance throughout the day.

What You Will Need

01. DSLR or Digital Mirrorless Camera + Lens + Memory Cards

In-studio I work with a 50mm, but you may also consider a 35mm or a 24-70mm. A foundational understanding of your camera in manual mode is strongly recommended before participating in hand-on mentoring. You should understand and know how to change settings for ISO, shutter speed and aperture.

02. Your own Model Release form

If you wish to publish any images that you create during the mentoring session, including for printed and/or digital portfolio use, then you must supply your own Model Release form(s) for subjects and/or parent(s) to sign.

03. Some experience in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop

I will be showing you my post-processing workflow and this will involve importing images into Lightroom as well as basic edits in Lightroom and full edits in Photoshop.
