Is The Observer Right For You?

The Observer mentoring experience is designed for photographers who want to strengthen their understanding of newborn photography in a relaxed, low-pressure environment before moving into hands-on practice.

This experience is ideal for photographers who:

  • are newer to newborn photography
  • want to observe a full session workflow
  • feel overwhelmed by posing or soothing
  • want to build confidence before working directly with babies
  • learn best through observation and discussion

No hands-on posing or photography will take place during Observer sessions.

What You Will Observe

During your mentoring session, you will observe a real newborn photography session from start to finish inside a professional studio environment.

Depending on the session option selected, you may observe:

  • newborn-only posing and wrapping
  • parent and sibling posing
  • newborn soothing techniques
  • transitions between poses and setups
  • workflow and session pacing
  • lighting and camera settings
  • client interaction and communication
  • safety-focused posing practices

You will also have opportunities throughout the session to ask questions and take notes.
