Ottawa Photographers | Reopening Ontario

emily

I am so excited and beyond happy to announce that Photography has finally been named in the Province’s list of businesses that can reopen in Stage 2 starting June 12th. Before today, Photography was left out of all lists.

According to the province, “all photography studios and services, including portrait … can reopen. Physical distancing must be maintained between all individuals on set whenever possible and must be taken into consideration when organizing the layout of the set.”

What does this mean for Diamondview Photography specifically? We are happy to start scheduling sessions! While the studio itself will remain closed for some time yet, we are however booking outdoor sessions. Our studio is a home-studio, therefore we have decided it is in the best interest of our family not to have numerous groups come through on a regular basis like we did pre-pandemic. We also personally feel that hands-on newborn sessions are too much of a risk at this time. We are reviewing and updating our health and safety policies and procedures, and once we have solidified new protocols that will ensure the safety of our clients and of our family we will make a new announcement about reopening the studio. Sessions will be required to maintain physical distancing.

Everyone that has had a session postponed from March, April and May have already been contacted. If you did not receive any correspondence from us, please check in.

Staring June 12th, groups of 9 people plus your photographer may join for a session.
