Proud Milestone: I’m Now an Accredited Professional Photographer in Maternity Portraiture!
This past weekend, I had the honour of attending the Professional Photographers of Canada‘s Canadian Imaging Conference & Expo 2025—and I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially earned my Accreditation in Maternity Portraiture!
For those who may not be familiar, accreditation through the PPOC is no small feat. It involves submitting ten images in a specific category to be evaluated by a national Board of Review. These images must meet rigorous standards in four key areas: Vision, Impact, Composition, and Technical Merit. It’s a peer-reviewed process designed to ensure the highest level of quality and professionalism in Canadian photography.
To earn maternity accreditation specifically, I submitted ten unique images—each from a different session and featuring a different subject. These images needed to reflect a variety of perspectives, from 3/4 and full-length poses to couples interacting, artistic figure work, and intimate detail shots. The goal? To tell the tender, powerful, and deeply personal story of motherhood in its most beautiful and vulnerable stage.
This milestone not only marks a significant professional achievement, but it also reflects my ongoing commitment to excellence in serving the amazing families who trust me to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments. I’m now proud to carry another accreditation to my resume—something I’ve worked hard to achieve, and something I wear with pride.
Thank you to all my incredible clients for allowing me to be a part of your journey. I truly couldn’t have done this without your trust, your stories, and your presence in front of my lens.
Here’s to celebrating life, love, and motherhood—one portrait at a time.

In addition to my new accreditation in Maternity Portraiture, I also received the following accreditations: Newborn (2015), Child & Infant (2017) and Family (2025).
